NSGP FY2021 GRANT FUNDING & CYBERSECURITY FOR FAITH INSTITUTIONS

The Council, working with Rutgers Miller Center for Community Protection and Resilience, will host an instructional webinar for Chicago area faith-based organizations on two distinct and critical topics:
The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has doubled the grant dollars ($180M for FY 2021) being made available to institutions through its Non-Profit Security Grant Program (NSGP). In this webinar, security experts from Rutgers Miller Center will walk participants through Illinois’ grant application process, important elements of the application, including the physical vulnerability assessment, as well as critical information your organization needs to know to submit an application (the grant application is expected at the end of this month).
The webinar also will feature former DHS Assistant Secretary for Infrastructure Protection Brian Harrell who led the Cybersecurity Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) accountable for protecting the cyber infrastructure of the US. He is currently a senior advisor to CyVision Technologies.
This webinar is designed for people in faith institutions interested in applying for a NSGP grant and also people responsible for institutional security in your networks.
